Update: Leroi Moore of Dave Matthews Band

We originally reported that Leroi Moore had been seriously injured in an accident.

Updated reports show that saxophonist Leroi Moore may be in worse shape than previously thought.  According to several news sources, he has suffered a punctured lung and multiple broken ribs, injuries that may keep him from his music fans for a year.

The tour may possibly end here for Moore, as Dave Matthews Band fans pray for his full recovery.

He remains at UVA Medical center in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he is still listed in fair condition. However with the newly released updates, he may be there for quite awhile.

He suffered the accident on June 30, 2008 while riding an ATV at his home.

What effect this will have on future tours and albums is not known.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and fans.

UPDATE: July 4, 2008

Leroi Moore is still listed in fair condition.

Cards and Letters may be sent to his home at:
Leroi Moore,  Post Office Box 1467, Charlottesville, VA  22902

You may also send e-cards to the hospital using this link.

Treatment for a punctured lung can be a long and complicated process as detailed here.

We wish Leroi a speedy recovery.
